Bent Elbow Lateral Raise
Exercise Overview
LATERAL RAISE The lateral raise exercise is used to strengthen the shoulder abductor muscles. To start hold a weight in each hand. Raise your arms up next to you within the scapular plane (about 15-30 degrees in front of your body). Keep a light bend in your elbows. Raise your arms until you reach roughly shoulder height. Lower the arms back down in a controlled manner to complete a repetition.
