Lateral Step Down

Exercise Overview

The lateral step down exercise is a step up exercise variation that focuses on the eccentric component of the exercise. Start by standing on a plyobox or exercise stepper. Hover one leg in the air and begin to lower the body beside you. Continue until your heel touches the floor. Minimize the amount of bodyweight the lower leg is bearing. Extend the knee and hip to return back to starting position.
