Walking Lunges

Exercise Overview

This is a quadriceps strengthening exercise. You may use or not use weights such as dumbbells or kettlebells during this exercise. Lunge forward by planting the lead leg’s foot on the ground in front of you. Lunge downwards by bending the lead leg to 90 degrees hip and knee flexion. Drive your lead leg’s foot into the ground to raise the body up and stride forward straight into your next step with your other leg. Keep the spine neutral and the knee in line with the middle of your foot.
